Arwel Jones is a bilingual (Welsh-English) regional development consultant specialising in the optimisation of natural, built and cultural resources. He has undertaken over 200 assignments mainly in rural development, tourism, recreation and the environment. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the School for Environment, Natural Resources and Geography at Bangor University and a founder member of the Welsh Responsible Tourism Group. He recently presented a paper on “Dathlu’r lleol” – re-creating and celebrating places(s) in designated spaces(s) at the 25th ESRS Congress in Florence.
He is currently evaluating rural development initatives in Ceredigion and supporting RDP activities in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
